With the second pick in the 2016 NBA Draft the Los Angles Lakers select Brandon Ingram out of Duke. As we all know Ingram is the first pick post The Kobe Bryant era. So, with that being said he already has some big shoes to fill, but he is already drawing comparison to Kevin Durant and  Anthony Davis. Because his ability to defend on the wing and in the post if needed, which both are great players for a rookie to have his name mentioned in the same sentence. Kevin Durant is a former MVP and 4 time scoring.

The Lakers have a nice core of young talent already with Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle, D’Angelo Russell, and Larry Nance. Now you add a 6’9 small forward that can play the stretch four or the small forward both position you have match up flexibility, that causes mismatches.

Obviously, Brandon Ingram will need to get stronger to be able to handle the physicality of the National Basketball Association, but the skill set is there with no question. He does need to improve his game on the offensive side of the ball in order to not be considered one dimensional  and predictable. Below checkout some of Brandon Ingram’s highlights.
